Types of Piles (Hemorrhoids) 

 Internal Piles 

  1. Located inside the rectum.
  2. Usually painless but may cause bleeding during bowel movements. 
  3. Classified into four grades:
  •  Grade 1 – Small, no symptoms    
  • Grade 2 – May protrude but retract on their own.
  • Grade 3 – Protrude and require manual pushing back. 
  • Grade 4 – Permanently prolapsed, requiring treatment. 

External Piles 

  1. Form outside the anus.
  2. Painful, itchy, and may cause swelling.
  3. Can develop blood clots (thrombosed hemorrhoids), leading to severe pain. 

 Mixed Piles 

  1. Combination of internal and external hemorrhoids.
